DESIGN ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)
We are looking for a Design Assistant who is self-motivated and highly creative that will provide support throughout the development cycle through to bulk production.
Collaborating closely with our Creative Director and Design team, you will assist in the preparation of design packs, mood boards, research sourcing fabrics and trims, research trends and assist in broader ad-hoc administrative tasks within the design team.
This is a part-time, flexible, hybrid working arrangement. When working together, our team works in an open, inspiring, and collaborative environment in our Newcastle design studio.
Desired skills and expertise:
- At least 1 years experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field.
- Fabric and raw material knowledge.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of all critical path elements and their impact on sales
- Knowledge of local and overseas fashion retail markets.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Experience with Adobe suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
